Saturday, June 5, 2010 was a day that made 108 of our parents very proud as they watched their children—54 in total—sing, dance, display fashion costumes, act in skits, read out speeches and recite poetry, all on stage in live performances, at the SZIA Preschool Graduation Ceremony of the Academic Year 2009-2010.

This event is unique among all of the functions held at the Academy throughout the year as it features an entire programme of performances by the Preschool students themselves.  As such, virtually every single student from Playgroup, the Nursery Class, KG-1 and KG-2 entertained the audience of Ambassadors, Diplomats, Parents and Guests for approximately two solid hours.

With the presentation portion of the programme completed, the Chief Guest, H.E. Nawaf Al-Enezi, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait-Islamabad, who graciously officiated in this capacity for the entire duration of the function, called the students out, one by one, to receive their official scrolls of graduation from one class and promotion to the next. Following the ensemble group photo session, all of the students, dressed in official graduation caps and gowns, proceeded to join the Principal, the Chief Guest and all of the Preschool Teachers for the ceremonial cutting of the huge ‘graduation cake’, a delightful symbol of the great success marked by the Preschool Graduation Ceremony of the Academic Year 2009-2010.
